You can find details on municipal issues, current events, garage sales, parks and recreation, sports, summer camps, etc. They have a very useful e-mail newsletter, which notifies citizens about various local issues such as road closings.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma is recognized as the state's premiere youth mentoring organization. Big Brothers Big Sisters facilitates One-to-One mentoring friendships between children and caring volunteers through community based and site based programs. Independent research has proven that children with a Big Brother or Big Sister are less likely to use drugs, skip school or be involved in acts of violence, and have better relationships with family and friends. YOU can be a part of something BIG when you become a mentor or make a contribution.

Center for Children and Families, Inc. - The Center for Children and Families provides support and education for parents with programs for children and divorce, teenage parenting, extended families and more.

OKSafeKids - dedicated to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury - the number one killer of children ages 14 and under.

Parents Helping Parents - The Norman Chapter of Parents Helping Parents offers hope to parents of children using drugs or alcohol by providing resources, education, and shared experiences.

Sodexho - the company that provides child nutrition services for the Norman School District. On their excellent web site, you can ask a dietician questions about child nutrition and calculate the number of calories in the items on school menus. The site also includes a body mass index calculator, food allergy resources, nutrition information, exercise tips and school menus.

Summer Food Service Program - No qualifications to be met. All children ages 1-18 eat free!
